I was inspired to put on this golf tournament after witnessing my wife successfully battle Stage 1 breast cancer in 2020. In our first three years, with the support of those who have sponsored, donated and played, we have raised approximately $200,000 for breast cancer research at City of Hope.
Thank you all in joining us in this battle.
Bruce and Robin Beck
Bruce Beck, president of Westlake Village-based public relations firm DB&R was inspired to produce this event following his wife’s successful battle with breast cancer. After discovering a small lump in her left breast, doctors confirmed in July 2020 that Robin had stage 1 triple negative breast cancer. Robin underwent six months of treatment that included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation and has now been cancer free for three years.
